Searching the DeCordova Court Docket
DeCordova publishes no official case-search form. So work from the source document instead of borrowing Granbury's portal. The citation or notice itself should name the issuing court and the issuing agency. It should also carry a citation or cause number, a court date, and a contact. That paper controls your next move. If it points to a DeCordova municipal route, use the official DeCordova site. Ask there who the current court contact is. If it names a Hood County JP, deal with that precinct. District and county cases run through their own clerks.
- Read the full court name and issuing agency.
- Copy the citation or cause number exactly.
- Use the printed phone or verified official civic contact.
- Ask which clerk holds the DeCordova docket and how it can be searched.
- Confirm the date, status, and copy instructions with that clerk.
re:SearchTX may cover a case through its integrated state system, but it is not proof of municipal coverage. A caller can also ask whether the clerk wants a counter visit or a written request. DeCordova documents no public terminal or mail procedure, so ask before you travel.
DeCordova Docket Portal Not Located
The city's website lists no Municipal Court page, no citation lookup, no court calendar, no payment form, no clerk page, and no records-request form. That gap is an access problem, nothing more. It does not mean DeCordova skips city enforcement. Nor does it mean a citation does not exist, or that a record was sealed or dismissed.
DeCordova search limit: the city offers no public municipal portal. Name the court first, then ask the city who keeps the record now. Never invent an online route that the city has not built.
With no portal, there are no DeCordova search fields to copy. Do not type a name, date of birth, license number, or SSN into another city's form. The right DeCordova process starts with whoever holds the case.
DeCordova Municipal Court Basics
No current DeCordova municipal-court judge, clerk, address, docket day, or public counter is confirmed. So treat the city's main contact as a routing point only. If a citation expressly names a DeCordova municipal court, ask the city a question. Who administers the case now? Ask where the clerk takes record requests. Ask whether hearing information comes by phone, counter visit, or written request.
Municipal courts generally handle city ordinance and Class C matters assigned there. But the paper controls the first step. A DeCordova location alone does not make a case municipal. A peace officer may send a justice-level matter to a Hood County JP court. County or district filings belong above the city tier entirely.
Build a DeCordova Docket Packet
A solid contact packet makes up for the missing portal. It lets a clerk route your matter without guessing from a name alone. Pull your facts from the citation or notice, never from memory.
| Issuing agency | The department or officer shown on the paper. |
|---|---|
| Printed court | The full court name and any precinct or county. |
| Identifier | The citation or cause number, shown only as document-specific number. |
| Date | The stated court date and approximate filing or issue year. |
| Requested item | Docket sheet, setting, citation, order, judgment, plain copy, or certified copy. |
Before you go, ask whether the clerk wants ID, payment, a written request, or a return envelope. DeCordova posts no fee schedule, payment method, or turnaround time. Each of those is a question for the office that holds the record.
Court Dates and Settings in DeCordova
DeCordova posts no hearing calendar and no recurring court schedule. The city site's third-Tuesday meeting listing is a civic schedule, not a DeCordova court calendar. Never treat a workshop or council meeting time as a court setting.
| Date | Use the date on the citation, notice, or current clerk record. |
|---|---|
| Time | Confirm with the court when it is absent or conflicts. |
| Court | Municipal, JP, county, or district court named on the document. |
| Location | Use a current court notice, not the city meeting address. |
| Setting type | Ask whether it is an appearance, hearing, pretrial, or trial setting. |
A reset can make an older date worthless. Save any later notice you receive. When a setting is near, or online details look thin, call the clerk you identified and confirm.
DeCordova Civic Contact Is Not Court
The city site lists civic meetings at 5301 Country Club Drive, Granbury, Texas 76049. It also gives the email cityofdcsecretary@gmail.com. It does not call that address a court counter. It does not say the email accepts certified-record requests. Use those details only to ask for the current municipal-court custodian.
The DeCordova official civic site shows the public city information the city itself publishes. That is civic contact information, not court records.

Civic contact details are not docket-search tools. Before mailing any record request, find out where the case actually sits. It may be administered in DeCordova, by a Hood County JP, or by another clerk.
Traffic Tickets in DeCordova
DeCordova offers no citation payment or lookup portal. So read the ticket itself. Check the issuing agency and the named court. Then check the citation number, the court date, and the instructions printed on it. If a municipal court is named, ask the city for its clerk. If a JP is named, call that precinct directly.
DeCordova publishes no payment fee or contest deadline. It lists no payment method, failure-to-appear consequence, deferred-disposition rule, or defensive-driving procedure either. Do not carry Granbury's fee, Lipan's fields, or Tolar's instructions over to a DeCordova ticket. For countywide routing, see the Hood County traffic-ticket resource. The binding terms come from the issuing court alone.
Blank DeCordova Docket Results
A blank DeCordova docket search can mean many things. The court might be wrong, the case number mistyped, or a name spelled differently. A posting delay can leave the screen empty. So can an older paper record, or a case that simply is not integrated. And what a blank result never proves matters just as much. It does not prove dismissal, payment, sealing, or the absence of a DeCordova case.
Start with the printed jurisdiction. Then run the exact cause number through the proper official system. For an integrated district or county matter, re:SearchTX searches Cases, Filings, Text, and Hearings. Hood County offers no single JP search form. A justice-court matter means calling the named precinct. For a city matter, ask DeCordova itself to identify the court.
Note: Treat an online result as a locator and confirm the current setting or certified record with the responsible clerk.
Where DeCordova Cases Go
DeCordova cases do not all rise through one city database. A city-level matter sits with the municipal custodian DeCordova identifies. A justice-level citation or small civil matter follows the named Hood County JP. County misdemeanors, civil filings, probate, and assigned family matters route to the County Clerk, while district felony, family, juvenile, child-protection, and district civil records belong to the District Clerk.
Docket flow: DeCordova municipal route › Hood County courts › 355th Judicial District Court
Think of that list as a responsibility map. It does not claim each case passes through every tier. Federal matters go through the Northern District of Texas and PACER, not these county offices. And the city name alone assigns no custody.
DeCordova Docket Context Since 2000
DeCordova's official site dates its incorporation to 2000. The Texas Legislative Council profile puts the 2020 Census population at 3,007. Those facts say a lot. They cover civic identity and scale. They say nothing about whether the city built an online municipal docket archive.
DeCordova also does not appear in the OCA fiscal 2024 municipal report. That gap is not proof of no court or no cases, though. An administrative report row and a live docket are two different things.
DeCordova Court Record Access Rules
Public access turns on the record type and who holds it. Texas policy separates court case records from judicial administrative records. A DeCordova case-file request goes to the clerk holding the case. A covered Rule 12 request is different. It goes to the custodian of that judicial record. Neither route obliges an office to act. No office must create a record that does not exist.
Texas access rule: Texas Rule of Judicial Administration 12 covers specified judicial records and includes exemptions. Court case files remain governed by common law, statutes, court rules, and the custodial clerkâs process.
Juvenile files, sealed matters, restricted records, and protected personal data may stay closed. A DeCordova docket can show limited metadata while a full filing stays unavailable. Ask for a plain or certified copy by exact title.
Requesting DeCordova Docket Copies
Once the custodian is known, state the court, case number, date range, party roles, and the exact record wanted. A docket sheet lists events. A signed order or judgment carries the operative text. A certified copy adds clerk authentication, making these separate DeCordova request products.
| Need | Ask for | Confirm first |
|---|---|---|
| Case history | Docket sheet | Search and copy fee |
| Ruling terms | Signed order | Document date and pages |
| Official copy | Certified copy | Certification fee and delivery |
| Older matter | Paper file search | Turnaround and inspection route |
DeCordova posts no general copy fee, intake email, mailing address, ID rule, or turnaround. Ask the court before paying or mailing anything. Treat the civic email as unconfirmed for certified copies.
Older DeCordova Docket Formats
A DeCordova record may predate current online systems. Ask whether the custodian holds a paper docket, scanned file, or archive reference. Incorporation in 2000 does not fix when court records went digital. If inspection is offered, confirm the office and its hours. Mail may be required instead. Verify the payee and address, since a civic address is not automatically a court mailing address. Keep a copy of the request. Note which office accepted it.
A good archive reply names the DeCordova custodian, the file format, and any inspection limit. Write those facts down before sending a second request.
